Employee Adaptability Interview

The two-hour interview version of SRI's formal full-day assessment process (IAP) functions as a preliminary evaluation of employees for creating a pre-screened, prioritized list of candidates, by department and company.

The pre-screening employee adaptability interview involves several steps.

Pre-assessment

The assessor will speak with Human Resources about the employee's potential for an international assignment relative to their career path and organizational planning. SRI would like to review the employee's employment history documentation.

Employee Adaptability Interview

The SRI assessor will meet with an employee and, if required, the employee's spouse or partner, to conduct a one-and-a-half to two-hour adaptability interview followed by time for writing up interviewer notes.

The purpose of the interview is to conduct a preliminary assessment session to:

Clarify candidate issues and concerns and identify areas for future follow-up;

Identify potential de-railment factors related to job suitability and cultural adaptation;

Pre-departure counseling and training requirements, destination support, developmental planning, and on-site coaching.

Verbal Feedback and Written Report

The assessor will provide Human Resources and line management verbal feedback as well as a one-page summary report highlighting the employee's strengths and gaps, developmental issues, relevant familial conditions, and recommendations.
